Halloween

I decided to boycott the whole Halloween phase and given the overheating election maybe a while longer…Halloween was known as All Saints‘ Day before consumerism kicked in, making this per se reflective/contemplative time worse year by year, and even more so since Halloween is not in line with Plato’s philosophy and aesthetics, in which (i.e. in Phaedrus) he talks about „the ability of the soul to soar up to heaven to behold beauty, wisdom, goodness…“, which I follow and feel committed to…In short it’s about: The Thruth, the Goodness, and the Beauty (In German: Das Wahre, Gute und Schöne), the basis of ethics and aesthetics.
Best wishes,
